Some Things Never Change...

At my school this week we are celebrating Homecoming. It's always an exciting and event-filled time, and I always look forward to it. I especially did so this year because of Joanna being here. Next year will be great because Charlotte will be here too. Our theme this year is OL' Hollywood. OL' as in Ocean Lakes...a little play on words. So in the Class vs. Class hall decorating competition, the classes had to choose "classic" movies to use for their decorations. The junior class chose Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I had to laugh when I learned the choice...but when I saw the hall, I practically fell on the floor laughing. I, of course, own the movie which Tom gave to me when the 30th anniversary edition came out, but I had not watched it in quite a while. Not that I needed to watch it. I can quote most of it to you. I spent a great deal of time in high school doing just that. It makes me chuckle to think that kids today are not that different that myself and my friends when we were that age. The "classics" still hold up, and there's nothing like sharing a few lines of Python delivered in British accent among friends. You have to click on the pictures and read the lines...Brings back some memories...

this is so awesome! Strange how some movies (Princess Bride included) are just timeless. I can't believe how many times we watched this movie. I'll put that 30th edition on my Christmas list from Jon! Love to you and the fam!
