Top ten ways you know you're a geek

10. You attend marching band booster meetings for your kids, and you enjoy them.
9. You can show a 15 year old how to customize their myspace.
8. When you subject your friends to home movies, they have cool sound effects and transitions as well as appropriate background music...maybe even narration.
7. Your children's friends tell you that you text like a 13 year old girl.
6. The only show that you Tivo for yourself has the word "Tech" in the title. (Wild West Tech is the coolest show on TV except that I have seen all of them at least five times.)
5. You know the latitude and longitude as well as the UTM codes for your own house.
4. At any given time you have more than five electronic devices in your purse. (Ok, let me specify...I mean stuff like my Palm, iPod, junk like that!)
3. When you go backpacking more than half the weight that you carry is from batteries.
2.You complain that your fingers are sore from playing guitar...Guitar Hero that is...the 80's version of course.
1. At the doctor's office, your seven year old son notices a photograph of the doctor's family on the wall and says, "Hey Mom, those two guys look just like Scotty and Mr. Spock." (So I Tivo Star Trek too...so what...)

Of course any semblance of these characteristic found in my life are purely coincidental.
