So what have I been doing for a month? Well, I painted. I finished Charlotte's bedroom. I am almost finished with Joanna's room. I have to finish the palm tree. I made flower borders in the front of the house. We had not done any work outside since the renovation...just grass. It really needed it. Boy that stuff is so much work! I worked for several days all day long making them...and not cheap either. At least you only have to do it once...then it is just maintenance. They look nice. I am pleased with them. I have begun to really develop a green thumb in my old age. :) We went to Hatteras for a little while. That was great of course. The water felt so good. We had just the best time.
I shuffled Joanna back and forth to work, the movies, and about everywhere else on earth. I will be glad when she gets her license. She still has to take Behind the Wheel, then she will be finished. Charlotte had a busy summer too. She did a day camp at school for Math junk. They both are going to summer camp on Sunday this weekend. She got a cell phone for her birthday. She was very excited about that. I debated about it for some time, but with her running around all the time took, I feel better with her having it. Carson has already been to camp. He went in June. That was a little traumatic for me. I hated him being away for so long. I don't think that he was crazy about it either. He had fun, but when we picked him up he was still holding the card that I had sent him two days earlier. It was all battered from him toting it all around. I felt terrible. Not sure that we will do that again.
One fun thing I have been doing all summer is tutoring my friend Joao from Brazil. He is here for grad school at ODU, but he is having trouble passing the TOEFL. I have been tutoring him in English. He's doing much better. His English is SOOO much better than my Portuguese!
What else?...Oh yeah, we are now the proud owner of three baby rabbits (who are not so little anymore) and the proud owner of a Gold Wing...Tom bought this thing...great...now I have to buy chaps. Don't get me wrong. I like a motorcycle as well as the next person, maybe more. However, there's that whole three kid thing. Makes me really nervous. At least a Gold Wing is very big.
So, I suppose that wraps it up...besides all of the terribly boring stuff that I did like cleaning out closets and junk like that. I am back in the swing, so my posts should be back to normal...whatever that means for me. :)
