So back in August Tom and I took a little drive down to High Point to see John Hiatt. Tom virtually worships John Hiatt. So...when we learned that Hiatt was performing at the new Sandler Center with my man Lyle, there was no discussion...we were going.So...Saturday night after I finished with the hair curling and gown fixing and makeup doing for Homecoming, I had a date myself!
It was the most wonderful show. The Sandler Center was a marvelous place to see the two performers. Their show was all acoustic and the sound in that place was amazing. They alternated songs, and they played together on a few.
Let me just say...I love Lyle. I thought that I loved him before...I am so in love with him now! In addition to his musical talent, he had a very wry sense of humor and was a great entertainer. I had just the best time. And the best part? Tom had a great time too...because he was able to see John Hiatt...who I like, but he's no Lyle.
Even Carson had a great Saturday night playing with his cousin Sam. Saturday night was great for all of us! The girls were dancing and laughing at Homecoming, Tom was jammin' with John, and I was swooning away with my man Lyle!

I've never been a big Lyle Lovett fan but I'm glad you had a great time. Sometimes there's nothing better than seeing a great performer in concert!
Ok, it's been forever since I've been on anyone's blog. Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt in one show???? Holy cow!
It was truly one terrific show! It was a perfect match for me and Tom...He practically worships John Hiatt, and I can't help but swoon over Lyle...you can't beat that!
