I am confessing the top ten reasons why this week it going to be a marvelous week!
10. Because we are giving SOL tests, and I will work 13 hour days...and I am up for the challenge. (I am trying reverse psychology on myself.)
9. I have finished the National Certification in Technology that I have been working on all year! The reception was last night. Yeah!
8. National Treasure comes out on video today. Our family has been waiting for it anxiously so that we can have a family movie night tonight. I am excited for it! I have the popcorn ready!
7. Joanna’s spring concert is Thursday night. It is always so good…such a nice evening out.
6. The Strawberry Festival is this weekend. Charlotte will play in the parade, and it will be such fun! I am not usually one for festivals and such, but I kind of like the Strawberry Festival. The traffic is lousy though.
5. I found the perfect gift for my friend this week. She has been my partner teacher this year, and I wanted something special to thank her for putting up with me! I found her an autographed copy of The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan. It is a book that we taught together. I love it when you can find just the right gift!
4. Only 14 days of school left after this week!!!
3. Three day weekend…thank you Lord. He knows that I will need it by then!
2. Thursday will make four, count ‘em four weeks since I have had ANY soda at all. I have lived without Pepsi for a month! I am so proud of myself. I will celebrate by seeing…
1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...Need I say more...I've only waited 19 stinkin' years for it!!! Sure I know he's 65...At this point my addition is past the point of return.

Saw Indiana Jones Wed night at a midnight preview. (It was freakin' 3:30 AM before I got to bed. Never again.) At any rate, what a disappointment. Maybe Harrison will do better in 19 more years when he's only a mere 84. Where would that film be without computer graphics? I overheard a remark as we were walking out of the theater. " Lord. That was so cheesy." Sums it up eloquently.
Sorry, Daddy, but I thought the movie was just FINE! As was Harrison!
AJ, did you get my message when I was in Norfolk? Don't know if you guys were in town. Had a hectic 36 hours but hopefully will be back soon!
LOVE!
I did get the message, but we were out of town...bummer...sorry that I missed you!
Mr. D, I have to admit that I enjoyed the movie. I am bias though. It was incredibly cheesy, but I went in expecting that to be the case. I enjoyed all of the nods to the previous movies, including Close Encounters. To me it appeared like Lucas and Speilberg were just having fun making the movie. Not great art, but just fun.
One movie I have seen recently that did get my attention was There Will Be Blood...a must see. Daniel Day Lewis is impeccable. Weird movie though.
