Well, it’s almost that time of year. School will be ending soon. Seniors will be graduating. Pranks will wreak havoc. Ahhh…summertime is nearly upon us.Now, I have to be honest, the school at which I teach has not traditionally had a problem with senior pranks in the past. We have good kids who really prefer to focus on their education. That’s the truth…I am not being facetious. I think that maybe a year or two ago we had one prank, but all that they did was have one student park their car in front of the buses so that all of the students who drive could leave a little earlier that day by getting out in front of the buses. Not that bad really. It was just that one day.
When I was in school we did silly things too…rite of passage and whatnot. As I was reading the news today, I came across this article that highlighted a prank at a Florida school.
I know that I am a teacher. I know that students should not do stupid things. I know that they should not break the rules. I know that it is very bad that students would participate in a “breaking and entering” to do this prank. I know all of this. I still laughed. Please don't lecture me. I know I am a bad person. I found it funny. Of course it’s not as funny as hanging all of your roommate’s wet underwear on a long line out of your third floor dorm room window in the dead of winter for them to freeze solid the night before she leaves for Christmas break, but still…it was a little funny. Besides…I would never do that…

Wow, that takes a lot of work!
But, I think that is maybe crossing the line from harmelss fun into disruption.
This was awesome. Seriously.
