Enchanted Circle

We drove on to Taos. The people in the campsite next to us who have a million children with them are from Taos. It was a fairly good size town. They had a Wal-Mart and everything. We drove through Angel Fire on our way out of the park today when we first started around the circle. It was very commercialize. The kids got a snow cone. In Taos we stopped at the Chamber of Commerce and got information on the pow-wow for tomorrow. It looks really cool. We plan to eat a good breakfast and take our time packing up everything then driving to the pow-wow and moving on to the next park after we leave the pow-wow. The drive back to the campsite is very pretty. Lots of birch trees. They look really cool. Almost cartoonish. Everything here is tremendously dry. They have had a terrible drought, and many parks are closed to the public because of the risk of fire. We are not allowed to have a fire. We haven’t had a fire anywhere we’ve been yet. Many of the trees and greenery are dying.
