Tetons Here We Come!

The next day we headed out for our next destination. We were headed for Idaho. What we saw there was definitely not expected. The state of Idaho is not always associated with picturesque scenery and huge mountains. Mostly you just think of farms. We did see farms, but they were nestled down in the valley between huge mountains. Farms right beside the Grand Teton mountains. We drove north out of Utah. We drove into Wyoming for a short while. We stopped and had dinner at Evanston, WY at a steakhouse. The people there were very nice. Wyoming was very beautiful too. We saw lots of horses and lots of farms. It was not as barren as we had been seeing farther south.

Everything was far more green and lush. It was quite beautiful. We drove on through some back roads in Idaho, and then up through Idaho Falls then north. We were headed to Harriman State Park. When we finally did arrive at the park, it was a nine-mile drive on dirt roads to get to the campground. We decided to check out some other alternatives in the camping department. We discovered Henry’s Lake State Park. How happy we were that we found such a gem! It was gorgeous. We camped right on the Continental Divide. The Divide was the backdrop for the lake. It was just incredible. It was a nice site. We set up our camp and enjoyed the scenery. There were a few campers there when we arrived, but it began to fill up as the night went on.
